4 CM HEART HOLE WAS CLOSED WITHOUT SURGERY
50-year-old Uğur Akbaş, who lives in Akşehir, has recently been complaining about constant fatigue and weakness, which has progressed to the point of reducing his quality of life. After the examination and tests performed at the first hospital he applied to, Akbaş was told that he needed open heart surgery. Explaining the diagnosis and treatment process afterwards, Uğur Akbaş said, “Although I had a heavy job in my daily life, I did not feel any symptoms of the hole in my heart. But lately, I was unable to take a step, so I applied to the hospital. After my examination, in addition to my lung problem, the hole in my heart was also revealed. I was told I needed open heart surgery. I didn't want to have this surgery. Since the hole in my heart was extremely large, we started researching different treatments and hospitals instead of open heart surgery. As a result of our research, I learned that cardiologist Dr. is very successful in these matters. I decided to apply to Ali Seydi Özgül. After the necessary examination, analysis and tests, my operation was performed with the Percutaneous ASD closure method. I feel much better now. Closing such a large heart hole without surgery shows how far medicine and technology have advanced. My physician, Dr., who performed my operation successfully. I would like to thank all PARKHAYAT employees, especially Ali Seydi Özgül. May God bless them all.” said.
“We closed the hole with the percutaneous ASD closure method.”
Private PARKHAYAT Hospital cardiologist Dr. performed the operation. Ali Seydi Özgül: “When Uğur Akbaş applied to us, he stated that he had complaints of shortness of breath and constant fatigue. Our patient said that he came to our hospital with the hope of closing the hole in his heart without surgery. After our examination with an endoscopic echocardiography device (TEE), we detected a heart hole of approximately 4 cm that was very difficult to close. We also detected high lung blood pressure during the examination. After a certain level of blood pressure, it becomes much more difficult to perform this procedure on patients. It was planned to take our patient to the angiography unit and close the hole in his heart with the Percutaneous ASD Closure Method. "At the end of the successful operation, the hole in our patient's heart was closed and he regained his health," he said. Cardiologist Dr. Ali Seydi Özgül emphasized that they used the largest ASD device to be used during the operation and said, "We saw that our patient's lung blood pressure improved after the closure of the heart hole. Our patient will no longer suffer from fatigue, weakness or shortness of breath. He will continue his life easier."
