The speciality of Obstetrics and Gynaecology refers to the branch of "Gynaecology and Obstetrics", which is a branch of medicine. Obstetrics deals with pregnancy follow-up and elimination of pregnancy problems. Gynaecology deals with the diagnosis and treatment of all kinds of diseases of the female reproductive organs such as uterus, cervix, vagina, vulva, tubes. In addition, the diagnosis of female infertility problems, uterine filming, egg monitoring, vaccination and in vitro fertilisation methods are also within the scope of this department. Obstetrics and Gynaecology department is also a department that provides services with all the possibilities of modern medicine on issues such as paediatric - adolescent gynaecology, gynaecological cancers, urogynaecology, reproductive health, follow-up of high-risk pregnancies, sexual dysfunctions, menopause, gynaecological operations.

Pregnancy and Obstetrics:
In our Gynaecology and Obstetrics department, necessary examinations and information are provided before pregnancy. The pregnancy process is followed in detail and meticulously, and the health of mother and baby is meticulously cared for. For the continuation of healthy generations, information is given about what needs to be done about birth, precautions are taken and interventions are taken if necessary. In addition, issues such as prevention of risks that may develop with consanguineous marriages, screening against genetic disorders, chromosome analysis are also evaluated in this department. The services provided in this context are as follows:

Pre-pregnancy counselling, information and examination,
Abdominal and/or transvaginal ultrasound can be used to detect pregnancy from the 5th week of pregnancy and to closely monitor the development process,
Checking the health of the mother and examining the necessary laboratory tests,
Ultrasonographic fetal anomaly screening to detect familial defects or congenital problems in infants,
Pregnancy diet, double and triple-quadruple screening tests, genetic tests, amniocentesis,

Menopause
Regular gynaecological controls should not be interrupted during menopause, which is a very important period for women's health. Considering that 45% of cancers occurring in the female body originate from the genital organs and the most common ages of these diseases are between 40-55, it is necessary to be much more careful during menopause. Regular check-ups against breast cancer, ovarian cancer, uterine cancer, cervical cancer and external genital organ cancers are important for early diagnosis of diseases in this period.
